Mecha games with this style these days.
After playing Brutal Legend and seeing how well it emulated the Herzog Zwei formula, I immediately wanted Double Fine to make
a mecha game with a similar concept.

It's gyroscopic viewing features (moving the controller around to see a different view on the secondary screen) allows for a greater level of simulation depth, If a developer so chooses, imagine things like panning closely around your television
with scanning in a Metroid
game or having a
mecha that pivots its view independently from its body orientation to quickly spot an enemy on your actual right — that's novel stuff, but nice touches possible

Not a great year for console
mecha games, I was very dissapointed
with how Lost Planet 2 turned out to be and now this, Front Mission Devolved has been giving me bad vibes since I've seen it, so no hope there.

Looking around a bit more, though, led me to discover that CuriousFactory, the fellows involved
with that English release, have brought over a few other
mecha games in the past (link may not be entirely safe for work, depending on how your employer feels about little cartoon girls wearing only a belt for a shirt), specifically three different shmups.

with robotic schoolgirls (though there was an even earlier PC doujin
game called Silver Troopers Bachanon, where you control old aged pensioners).
GameStop had also advertised the Samurai Warrior DLC on their website, however, players who pre-ordered their
game from the popular retailer were met
with nothing more than a
Mecha Naruto poster when they went to pick - up.
In many ways, their fascination
with the scale of
mecha and the mythos surrounding them crystallised a new and vastly satisfying third person action
game.
Admittedly, as
with all
games, this is part of the learning curve but in the case of the Remote Control Dandy lineage the deliberate movements made the
game more tactical and afforded greater clarity to the controls,
Mecha MG's controls are subsequently more immediate and a little messy in contrast (to begin
with at least).
