Mike Sante, managing editor for the website focusing on consumer finances, said the Baltimore
metropolitan area — defined for this report as including the city, five surrounding counties and Queen Anne's County — rose in the ranking because
median home prices fell by nearly 3 percent while
median income rose about 2 percent.
