I haven't tried specifically for this
recipe, but usually it works fine to substitute the
almond flour with 1/3 of the quantity in coconut
flour, since the coconut
flour absorbs
more moisture than
almond flour.
Here's a tip when cooking with
almond flour; if you're planning on replacing wheat
flour with it in a
recipe, just make note that you may require
more eggs to provide
more structure.
Or you can use the
more fine - textured
almond flour crust
recipe from the chocolate version instead.

almond meal for
more nutty, less gluten
recipe.
In this
recipe I added cinnamon and added
more almond flour then white
flour, added few spoons of coconut sugar.
I'm wondering if decreasing
recipe to 1 egg would work, or, increasing the
almond flour by 1/4 -1 / 2 C (the other
recipe calls for 2C) would give
more bulk to the waffle?
PS: was worried because of the comments, but I had no issues with the batter falling apart like I have with
almond flour recipes... and coconut
flour is way
more tasty.

more protein and fiber to my
recipes.
When baking with healthier
flours such as oat
flour,
almond flour, etc., these
flours contain less gluten making them much
more dense than typical muffins I'm sure you're used to, so I've had to play around with various
recipes in order to achieve that perfect combination.
I haven't tried the blanched
flour so perhaps I'd like her
recipes even
more, but so far I am
more than satisfied with the results using the
almond meal in every
recipe I have tried.

Michelle, I haven't played around with this
recipe using other
flours, but if you can tolerate coconut
flour, that may work (if you want to play with the
recipe, start with much less coconut
flour because it absorbs
more liquid than
almond flour).
This
recipe is based off a favorite
recipe from my childhood, but I modified it to be gluten free and
more healthy by replacing the
flour with
almond flour, soaking the oats, and using whole sugar instead of refined sugar.
If there were enough interest, I would consider posting some
more of my own
recipes made with
almond flour.
I've had better luck with
almond flour recipes, but I much prefer the taste of coconut
flour to
almond flour, and it fills me much
more quickly (and for longer) than
almond flour.

almond flour.
If you use a measuring cup, just keep in mind you might end up with a little
more or less
almond flour than the
recipe calls for, and adjust if needed.
I suppose had I paid
more attention to how the cake was made I might have bypassed this
recipe (ground
almond substitutes for most of the
flour).
So does the
recipe really call for a little
more than a cup of
almond flour, or almost 3 cups of
almond flour?
I'd also love to see less agave and
more Stevia and / or honey
recipes (like this one)... I love all the coconut
flour and
almond flour recipes... bars are awesome because they are so versatile.

I've adjusted the

I tripled the
recipe, added a pinch
more cacao powder and
almond flour, divided the batter among three ramekins filled about 2/3 -3 / 4 full and it came out great.
I personally just tried this
recipe and like it a bit better because it tastes less eggy and seems
more versatile depending on how thin or thick you want your batter since it's so thick to begin with and using
almond flour makes it much thinner to begin with.
I did have to add a bit
more tapioca
flour and
almond flour (which I subsequently ran out of and substituted millet
flour with) than the
recipe calls for, but they turned out so great.
I tried a couple
almond flour recipes and I was really disappointed in the taste, and even
more so when I remembered the price.
The
almond four sounds very delicous as well, I just wish the Bob's Redmill
almond flour was
more appropriate for your
recipes as they are based a city away from where I live.
