Overall: 8.5 Bomberman Live: Battlefest is not going to make anyone who was bored with the core
gameplay come running back, but for anyone looking for
more bomb - based action or for new players this is the most complete and enjoyable Bomberman package to date and a great addition to our beloved
Arcade.

When we showcased the game to
gameplay testers (including some industry leading people), they found the
Arcade mode to be
more fun.
Gameplay in Star Wars Starfighter is
more in the style of an
arcade shooter than a space simulation.
The NES version kept the same basic
gameplay from the
arcade version but brought in
more of a story and added a few characters such as leading protagonist Nathan «Rad» Spencer.
The core
gameplay is changing ever so slowly from super
arcade play to a
more comprehensive,
more realistic style of soccer, and the series is better for it.
Gameplay is simple to grasp and reminiscent of the
arcade classic, Tapper (albeit slower and
more complex).
Levelling and choosing your loadout really change the game from being just a simple score - challenge
arcade throwback and turn it into a
more modern take on the genre that's
more than homage; it's an evolution with modern standards and systems in place, keeping that old school multiplayer score competition while adding in
gameplay systems that make sense today, while still throwing in different things to keep the game feeling fresh; it was even discovered that there's a hidden Smash TV style area in the last level, really hammering home the mix of old school charms and new
gameplay mentalities.
Okay, these so called professionals all base the game on the plot, uhh, just playing the demo or watching the trailer will immeadiatly tell you this game isnt about plot, the reason i like this game iscause it is a casual game where you can feel like you can finish it, you know carrying on through the adventure mode little by little, its not meant for the hardcore, while
more gameplay mechanics would of been nice (just using the stick and a button is definatly over used) but the real reason this game is fun, the price, its just # 3 ($ 5) and considering a hell of alot of worse games cost
more than double this on live
arcade you could do alot worse, the only thing blocking this from an 8 is the online community is dead, unfortunatly!
For those of you who do not know much about the Virtua Tennis series, it is an

gameplay of a racing game,
arcade or simulation, it's all about precision and timing and the
more you tend to the simulation part, the

The upcoming installment includes additional

Only when the game throws dozens of enemies at you at once does it really get challenging — and even then it doesn't come close to the challenges posed by F.E.A.R. And Raven's attempts to expand the basic
gameplay with a few scenes of vehicular combat, while admirable, enjoy only mild success, coming off
more like chapters in an
arcade rail - shooter from eight years ago than anything a modern shooter should have.
The
arcade mode offers the same
gameplay from the story mode, without the frills of a story based narrative and is solely focused on earning
more points to maximize the end of stage score, which can be viewed in conjunction with the ever present leaderboards.
It has
more complexity than the previous 2 games, it has that good old
arcade feel to it (it looks and sounds very similar like the original
arcade version of the game), the
gameplay is fun and challenging, the framerate is also good, the enemies are finally designed in a way they should have been done even in the 2600 version, and Mario finally has the appropriate and familiar look.
HAWX is a dog - fighting flight simulator that errs
more towards
arcade gameplay than it does realism.
