Most national breed clubs have health committees and rescue committees that can use funds for medical studies or for housing dogs until they can be placed in new homes.
The AKC standard, from which
most national breed clubs elsewhere in the world drew their own standards, was derived from the older ASCA standard and is largely similar and is essentially the same as regards tails: «Tail is straight, docked or naturally bobbed, not to exceed four inches in length.»

breeds will be housed in the home, sporting
breeds will have plenty of space for exercise, etc. (
National breed clubs can provide input on the specific needs of each
breed of dog)
There are also two independent health organizations in the US and somewhere upwards of a twenty other established
clubs in other countries,
most of them affiliated with or seeking affiliation with their
national all -
breed registry.
Some few countries»
national breed clubs require the test at every major specialty show, but
most do so only at their «annual
national» show.
