A quote from Wikipedia's Sighthound page: «Although
today most sighthounds are kept primarily as pets, they have been bred for thousands of years to detect movement, chase, capture, and kill prey primarily by speed.
As far as I know,
most sighthounds need little exercise as ADULTS, and our friends have Great Pyrenees, and all they do, again as adults, is rest most of the day, once they've had their relatively short walks.
They have a deep chest, and their topline rises over the loin, which makes them more flexible than
most sighthounds.
As a group,
most Sighthounds are sound compared to Working Breeds which are often shown overweight (to give the appearance of substance) whereas an overweight Saluki wouldn't be in the ribbons.
Like
most sighthounds, greyhounds have sensitive digestive systems that respond to changes in their diet with diarrhea.
