participate in a Work Readiness Day of activities designed to help them get the
most out of their Summer
Youth Employment Program work experience.

most recent findings of the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development's (NICHD) Study of Early Childcare and
Youth Development.
Most compelling is the potential these hearings have to illuminate the unique circumstances of GLBT
youth who often remain invisible and silenced in these conversations and who are multiply marginalized — those from lower - income backgrounds and
youth of color — given the commission's call for
youth from diverse backgrounds to
participate.
They show that while universal coverage would be the
most expensive option, more targeted approaches will shift priorities to different parts of the city, and would require higher effort — and additional resources — to ensure that all children and
youth in the target group can
participate in these programs.
Most recently, the
Youth Education Tekies
participated in a conversation about dropout prevention.
This difference was
most evident among those male students who exhibited a low - propensity - to - graduate score at baseline: those who
participated in the PGC program had a graduation rate of 60 percent, whereas
youths in the control group had a graduation rate of 30 percent.
