LOS ANGELES, April 24, 2017 — The Japanese American National
Museum has developed a series of lesson
plans for teachers to complement its Instructions to All Persons: Reflections on Executive Order 9066
exhibition and enhance student learning of the 75th anniversary of President Franklin Roosevelt's signing of the order that led to the tragic and unlawful incarceration of 120,000 individuals of Japanese ancestry during World War II.
Prescient (and controversial) collector Bill Arnett's Souls Grown Deep Foundation has donated 57 works, including pieces by quilters from Gee's Bend, Alabama, and Alabaman assemblage artist Thornton Dial, to the Metropolitan
Museum of Art, which is
planning an
exhibition of the material for 2016.
The Fellow will have the opportunity to conduct research on the Morgan's collection of European drawings before 1900 — one of the finest in the country — and to contribute significantly to all phases of
exhibition planning, organization, and installation;
museum education; publications; and other departmental activities.

As Curator - at - Large, she will work with the Tang's team to
