Both of the
tablet announcements, plus Google's efforts with its «
Nexus» branded smartphones —
not to mention the possibility that Microsoft could make its own branded phone (a rumour the company has denied, but which shouldn't be discounted)-- are sharp shifts towards Apple's way of doing things.
The approach has worked wonders for Apple, giving that company full control over the quality and price of its products, and even Google looks to be leaning that way too with its
Nexus phones and
tablets,
not to mention its Motorola subsidiary.
The 10 ″
tablet seems to only have the Exynos 5 Dual processor we've seen in
Nexus 10, and I suppose for a spring release, it's
not too bad, if it maintains the same price, too.
If you felt like you got lost in all the rumors concerning the next
Nexus tablet, whatever its size, then don't worry, we all did.
Where the
Nexus 7 announcement really disappoints is the fact that Google is
not yet looking at encouraging developers to create customized apps for
tablets that utilize the larger display on offer.
If you have

Nexus 7
tablet.
The
tablet doesn't appear to be as zippy as Google's Jelly Bean - toting
Nexus 7.

From the looks of it, Google has tweaked the
tablet UI on the
Nexus 7 as we are able to see a smartphone like dock in the bottom of the UI in portrait mode, but we can
not confirm this yet.
The 1366x768 pixel resolution and 148ppi is
not quite in the realms of the iPad 4 (2048x1536 and 264ppi) and the
Nexus 10 (2560x1600 and 300ppi) but it still ensures impressive levels of clarity for video and font even if it lacks the vibrancy and colour of Samsung
tablet screens (such as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1).
The back of the Kindle Fire HD, which wraps around to the front of the
tablet, is coated in a soft - touch material that's
not as gentle on your fingers as the
Nexus 10, but more comfortable than a metal - backed
tablet.
LG's other most recent venture with Google, the
Nexus 5 has already taken the market with storm though sources maintain the G Pad 8.3 should
not be confused with the 8 inch
tablet that Google is actively rumored to be developing.
However, while that isn't expected (if at all it happens) before 2015, there are also some who believe Google might launch an 8 inch
Nexus branded

If anything, what hurt the
Nexus 7 performance-wise most was the lack of TRIM support in Android 4.1 and Android 4.2, which made the
Nexus 7 feel slow after a certain period of time, because when you were deleting stuff from the
tablet, you weren't actually deleting it, so the storage became slower and slower.
A pair of brothers in California decided that the fact that
Nexus tablets don't have a microsd card slot was annoying.
Putting pricing aside for one moment and the Google
Nexus 7 is truly a fantastic
tablet that might
not be considered an iPad rival in terms of the content available and the Apple
tablet's more work - friendly credentials, but Google and Asus have thought carefully about how to make the 7 - inch

The 7 inch segment is currently ruled by the
Nexus 7 and though its just a Wi - Fi only model, consumers aren't complaining and the
tablet is being picked up in droves.
On my
Nexus 7
tablet I can do Kindle, Kobo, Nook, etc., but
not iBooks and that is a shame.
The
Nexus 7 is making a splash in the 7 inch
tablet segment, though its main competitor, the Kindle Fire, is
not dead yet.
The
tablet measures 7.8 x 4.72 x 0.41 inches, which shows the
Nexus isn't out there to vie for the thinnest
tablet award.
However, the Kindle Fire is
not likely to recover its sales much in the coming days now that word is already out in the street that Google's
Nexus tablet is set for a June end release.
One problem the
Nexus 7 doesn't directly address is how woefully bad
tablet app discovery is on Android.
The
tablet also isn't as bright as the competition: At 376 lux, the
Nexus 10 falls behind both the iPad (386 lux) and the Transformer Pad Infinity (642 lux).
While I know the resolution is good, I heard the screen is
not very bright on the Nook
tablets, at least when compared to say the 2012
Nexus 7.
The Tab Pro 8.4 is among the best Android
tablets you can get, but it just can't match the Editors» Choice winning
Nexus 7 on value.
We all know that before the
Nexus 7 (we still need solid numbers on those, and if they had reached a milestone Schmidt surely would have boasted about it), Samsung was the one doing best in the Android
tablet market, so all the rest of companies should
not be selling as much.
After a bit of a rough start, Google's impressive little
Nexus 7 is endearing itself to those watching the low - cost
tablet space, and it shouldn't be long before Amazon releases something new to stymie its rival.

tablet and if you aren't thinking in replacing it with a more powerful device, I have something more than interesting for you.
