My little girl is almost three and a half, and I've been putting it off, because the first two times I've tried to «train» her, she wasn't ready and
NEVER went in the potty.

in from work last week found we was 2 - 0 down then come from work this week to find we're 2 - 0 up, its just the arsenal driving me
potty / insane (again), we
never quite know what we're gonna get anymore...
I would
go through another 10 unmedicated labors, 20 bouts of mastitis, two solid years of
potty training, and an infinite number of sharp jabs to the kidney
in the middle of the night if I
never had to worry about my child making friends.

went from only
going in his diaper to 24 hours later
never wearing a diaper again!!!! We are officially diaper free at bedtime for both twins too!!!

But he seems to have no awareness of what's
going on, has
never peed
in the
potty, and when you take his pants off all he wants to do is play at retracting his foreskin.
If by
potty training you mean to train your dog to «
go» oditsue, I would suggest a few things. - take the dog oditsue often, every 2 - 3 hours at first (a pup can only hold it for as many hours as his age
in months - so a 3 month old pup can hol dit 3 hours)- crate training is a great tool to assist
in «
potty training» - always reward him when he
goes oditsue -
never punish him if you find a mess - if you catch him
in the act, a firm «NO!..
My son was not
potty trained until he was almost 4 years old.He was a very active boy, and it seemed that he just didn't want to take the time to
go to the bathroom /
potty when he could just
go in his diaper and keep on playing.I did spend time putting him on his
potty chair, and eventually the toilet but he would
never go, yet as soon as a diaper was on, he's dirty it.And I felt like a horribly mean mother for making him sit there for so long.So, I decided to just let him do it when he wanted to.
I think the «
never go back» method works, 3 days close to home, cloth training pants, a
potty in the bathroom, playroom, and car, pull ups for naptime and bedtime, we rewarded with cheap costume jewelry.
We have hit a major improvement
in potty training our daughter; whereby, she is now asking to
go toilet (which she
never did previously!)
You'll
never go back to «diapers =
potty»
in the conventional sense.
When she poops it's a bit easier (I can see the bearing down) but then it
goes too fast between the signal and bringing her to the
potty — I could
never make that transition
in time.
My kids would
never go to the
potty on their own
in them.
I have noticed when my son sits on it the shield doesn't seem high enough but he's
never actually
gone potty in it.
If your dog is crated when he isn't outside with you or under your supervision
in your... MORE house, chances are he will
never develop the habit of
going potty indoors.
He would not always need to «
potty», but I
never wanted to take the chance of not taking him out when he
went to the door
in case he did really need to «
potty».
I do know he is exceptionally thirsty after eating them and all of a sudden has started
going out several times
in the middle of the nite to
potty and he has
never done that before.
Even if the pup
never tries to pee or poop
in the house, once you have finished play time,
go through the outside
potty method listed above.
