Whilst I agree that Microsoft will not catch up in sales of hardware anytime soon I do think that they made the right move with the One X. I bought both Xbox one and PS4 at launch and I would play every multiplat on PS4 due to the slightly better resolution / performance.

Some xboys say sony did it with Crash bandicoot but crash was mostly PSone exclusive back in the day and its not a big multiplatform game unlike tomb raider which is multiplat for most of its life and Big ol MS needs to keep it from other hands.

Multiplats are the most popular games on these consoles (switch not inculded) so expect a lot of «looks best on X» promotion going forward.

Also, for a multiplat game, if they «were» to use the fullest of the PS3, wouldn't that throw off their claim of «equality» between then multiple versions?

im a ps3 only owner and i do nt mind that a multiplat may look better on the 360 by someone's standards that arent my own.

Sony does nt have a system seller, uncharted is only good for its 4 hour campaign as its multiplyer side sucks, shame though at least most multiplats run at 1080p if you ignore the low texture filtering

I just PASTED my comment from the last thread alluding to the point I was making that all those who deride multiplats and make the sentiment that Xbox has no games seem to be under the impression that multiplats don't count as games.

Third party multiplats may not come over because they would need to make it work on Nintendo's handheld as well as the console, unlike competing systems.

All in all, the above announcements mean that my PS4 will finally be getting more use, and I didn't even mention the multiplat announcements that did not involve some leg up for Playstation fans.
