NaNoWriMo month and a great opportunity to

I'm enjoying watching my blogging friends go for
NaNoWriMo this year — everyone seems to have gotten off to a good

NaNoWriMo because I want to try writing fiction, too, and I really enjoyed hearing that this was the way you

starts today, and while I plan to continue blogging throughout NaNo, I wanted to make sure I gave you something good to keep you happy during my crazy month.

NaNoWriMo, literally hours before the official
start of this year's National Novel Writing Month about how technology and digital publishing have affected the «thirty days and nights of literary abandon» and may have influenced record numbers of writers to take on the challenge.
My problem with
NaNoWriMo each year as it comes around is that we have to
start a new novel to participate.
I
started writing seriously in 2910 with
NaNoWriMo.
That's not to say that there haven't been some blockbuster bestselling novels, both traditionally and independently published, that
started life as a
NaNoWriMo whim.
Now that you have that first half of the novel under your belt, maybe from
NaNoWriMo, maybe from working on your own, it's time to
start looking for that agent if you aren't going the self - publishing route.
As soon as you
start writing a new novel you need to
start marketing your book — and that maxim holds true during
NaNoWriMo as well.»

NaNoWriMo has
started and thousands of people round the world are tackling new novels, aiming to finish 50,000 words in 1 month!
It is just over 1 month until the
start of
NaNoWriMo.
The thread
started off with someone falsely accusing Smashwords of spamming the
Nanowrimo message boards, and then progressed from there with some heated discussion and attacks pointed my way.
It was doing the
NaNoWriMo back in November, which
started me off in the right direction.
