The data used for the studies was collected by the
Tobacco Center of Regulatory Science on
Youth and Young Adults (Texas TCORS), a center created by several of The University of Texas System institutions to develop research that can guide future decisions on
tobacco regulations at the
national level.
Another
national survey, the 2016 Monitoring the Future survey, showed the first evidence of a decline in
youth use of e-cigarettes, but e-cigarettes continue to be the most - used
tobacco product among kids.
