What turned out to be a rumor a while back is now a reality, Criterion had confirmed that they are working on a new
Need For Speed title for EA, and these screenshots showcase just that.
Before tomorrows full reveal, EA posted an image (above) from their upcoming
Need For Speed title.
However, without that being available, I felt that I was playing just
another Need for Speed title in the series that didn't really scream to me to be all that much of an improvement over its predecessors which is a shame.
Coincidentally, EA also published a game that ended up losing the «Need For Speed» label: Motor City Online was meant to be a full - fledged
Need for Speed title until the single - player portion was dropped at some point during its development.
Other options are the Road Rash title the company was interested, and the Ghost Games
Need for Speed Title slated for this year and allegedly involving Criterion.
So far the Burnout series have just been much better than any recent
need for speed title that Criterion games was not involved in.

Need for Speed titles, and involves «knocking out» the previous racer who passes the starting line in each lap until the final leader of race remains, and wins the race.
Hot Pursuit brings in some of the mechanics that appeared in more recent
Need For Speed titles that were pioneered by Burnout, and combines them with insane action, high speed racing, and a solid online multiplayer experience to create a worthy return to the series.
