variants will be offered with the
petrol and diesel, both.
On the fuel efficiency front, the Tata
Nexon delivers 21.5 kpl for the
diesel variant and 17kpl for the
petrol, which means it is thirstier than its rivals.
Out of the five subcompact SUVs on the market today, the 2017 Ford Ecosport, Tata
Nexon and the Honda WR - V come with
petrol variants whereas the Mahindra TUV300
and the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza only get
diesel variants.
The Tata
Nexon is currently on sale with prices starting at INR 6.16 lakhs
and INR 7.19 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi) for the
petrol and diesel variants respectively.
The company, which revealed the details of the latest
Nexon variant, will initially sell the compact SUV with the AMT in only the top - spec XZA + trim, but with both the
petrol and diesel - engined models.
Priced between Rs 587,000
and Rs 946,900 (ex-showroom Mumbai) across 5
variants the
Nexon comes with a choice of both
petrol and diesel engines.
The
Nexon XZ
variant will be available in both
petrol &
diesel engine options at a starting price of Rs 7,99,000 for the
petrol variant and Rs 8,99,000 for
diesel variant (Ex-showroom Delhi).
Since the difference between the
diesel and petrol Nexon is nearly under a lakh rupees for all
variants, it makes sense to go for the
diesel if your average usage is over 30km / day.
