NEW YORK (AP)-- Emotionally wrenching politics, foreign conflicts and shootings at home took a toll on Americans in 2016, but they are entering 2017 on an optimistic note, according to a new
poll that found that a majority believes things are going to
get better for the country
next year.
The
poll found that Americans are most downbeat about the relationship with Russia: 56 percent think it will
get worse over the
next year, while just 13 percent think it will improve.
According to a recent Compas
poll of corporate executives, the situation is going to
get worse during the
next few years.
According to the last seven
polls — spanning from July 2014 to November 2015 — conduced by the French public - opinion institute Ifop, Le Pen has led each time when voters are asked, «If the
next presidential election was
next week, which candidate would have the best chance of
getting your vote?»
And that the
polls would show that they would be
getting a minority PC government, with a Wildrose opposition, they thought this would be a good balance, a strong NDP Caucus putting pressure who would hold them to account and a lot of people woke up the
next morning going what the heck happened to our Alberta.»
I can think of lots of good candidates for a first read and will have a

next week to

The same will be true in the struggle for control of Congress
next year, as state parties, individual campaigns and outside groups spend tens of millions of dollars targeting their voters and working to
get them to the

next three months and that the PVV / VVD / CDA combination will
get a majority.
This
poll was carried out between Monday and Wednesday, so almost entirely before the announcement of Nick Clegg as their new leader and the attendent publicity, so they may well
get a further boost — ICM's monthly
poll will presumably be out
next week and in contrast to YouGov they normally give the Lib Dems their highest scores, so look out for their score there.
We've still
got YouGov to come this week, Populus early
next week and an Ipsos MORI
poll at some unspecified point, so we shouldn't have a lack of
polls to make judgements on.
Perhaps because of that, and the fact that Mr. Hawkins has had trouble cracking 10 percent in the
polls, Mr. Cuomo saw no need to rebut it, and the remark
got no coverage in the
next day's papers, other than on Capital New York's website.
«The point of this

get a realistic sense of where the race stands among people likely to vote in the primary

If anything, a few Democrats and independents may have been won over by Barron, Redlich, and Hawkins, but that won't matter unless the
polls get a a lot tighter over the
next two weeks.
This means that Labour are narrowly ahead in all the
polls just seven months after losing the election, and it will probably
get even better
next year.
With
polls suggesting Labour will struggle to
get a majority at
next year's election, and with Miliband making a series of gaffes and struggling in the
polls, there have been murmurs of discontent from within the party.
But won't the Lib Dems want to be out of the Coalition if they
get an electoral drubbing
next week and lose the AV referendum, as the
polls are increasingly certain will happen?
And outside the event a Labour blogger mutters that the Lib Dems could end up with only 11 seats after the
next election on current
polling (and if they don't
get AV through)... so the whole question could end up being academic.
For the
next whole week,
polls will last for only a day, until North America
gets Mario Party 9.

According to the results of a new Harris
poll released this week, one in six Americans (15 percent) currently uses an e-reader device, and among those who do not have an e-Reader, one in six (15 percent) say they are likely to
get an e-reader device in the
next six months.
