HTC and Google finally released Nexus 9, so now you can test Android 5.0 Lollipop on a great new
Nexus branded tablet.
Apart from the Pixel C tablet that was launched last year, Google has no other
Nexus branded tablet listed in the Google Store.
However, it is more or less confirmed that Google will launch the Nexus 7, which will be the first
Nexus branded tablet, for which Google has partnered with Asus (another first) and will run Jelly Bean out of the box.
However, while that isn't expected (if at all it happens) before 2015, there are also some who believe Google might launch an 8 inch
Nexus branded tablet.

branded smartphones — not to mention the possibility that Microsoft could make its own

Google has indeed launched the
Nexus 7
tablet, which runs on stock Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and is the first Android
tablet to get the
Nexus branding.
The Amazon Kindle Fire HD is the
brand's new ereader -
tablet hybrid but does it offer enough to take on the Google
Nexus 7 and iPad Mini?
The only Google
branded tablet that is still available is the Google
Nexus 9.
Enter the
Nexus 7, the first
tablet launched under Google's own
Nexus brand.
IDC said the strongest growth came from Android, including
tablets made by South Korea's Samsung and Taiwan's Asus, which makes a Google -
branded Nexus tablet.
Many industry experts seem to agree that the best strategy is to sign up customers who buy Google

Nexus tablet for data.

That it's taken the Android ecosystem more than three years to be shipping more slates than Apple is a measure of how relatively poor Android
tablets have been vs the iPad experience (it's no coincidence that Google felt it needed to get involved directly with the
tablet space with its own -
branded Nexus slate to help bring up standards and push down prices).
Google's previous
tablets, which fell under the
Nexus brand, sported plastic bodies which helped keep price and weight down - but with the Pixel C it's moved into premium materials.
The
Nexus 10 may have Google's
branding but it is actually manufactured by Samsung, a company with a strong pedigree in Android phone and
tablet manufacturing.
