Nice shaped waves but just too small and too crowded with all the learners taking advantage of the easy conditions.
But surfing conditions were still clean and glassy with
some nice shaped waves breaking.

waves were running for a minute down the sand bank with
nice shape and speed.
These
waves all have their own characteristics; Beachbreaks tend to be common, with consistent
waves and
nice sand bottoms, pointbreaks can offer perfectly
shaped waves and the longest rides of any kind of
wave, and reefbreaks are where advanced surfers go in search of the best barrels.
There could be a really
nice swell, but an onshore wind can make all the
waves crumble and have no
shape, making the
waves un-surfable.
For those who want to practice something more there are a lot of very accessible spots on the reef (for example a spot next to the already mentioned La Santa named Centro, where the
wave has a very
nice shape, are long and doesn't break aggressively).
The left hand sand bar had the best
waves but with plenty of tide still to fill in the right hander was also starting to take on some
nice shape.
But all in all there were some
nice shaped fun sized
waves.
Arriving at our destination around 10.30 AM to find similar sized
waves and some
nice shaped right handers peeling off.
The tide was still pretty low so no go on Kuta Reef or Airports, but Middle Reef was smoking through some
nice shaped head to over head high set
waves.
