I really wanted to get the fire for my 9 yr old she loves reading books on my iphone (kindle app) Not to mention the games ans so on, ir keps her from getting into fights with her younger sister in the car, but now i am considering the
nook just because the parental controls, i am worried i can not keep an eye on her while driving plus things can find her quicker than she can find things, lets face it shes an innocent 9 yr old so why risk it, i know she wont go looking for porn or whatever but when she was younger she was looking for a hello kitty web site and we were both horriefied what came on the
screen, so i huess the debate is
nook color or
nook tablet

Nooks called E-Ink Holdings is setting up a huge game changer in the E-Reader industry with
Color E-Ink.
By all accounts the
screen on the xoom is better, it has a higher resolution by far, and having used a hacked version of Honeycomb based on an SDK, on the
nook color, I can tell you its not buggy at all.
As with the
Nooks that came before it, the
screen on the HD + is top quality — wide viewing angles, great
color contrast and depth, doesn't easily pick up fingerprints.
The black - on - white e-ink
screens used by the Kindle, Sony, and
nook e-readers are easier on the eyes and work in sunlight, making them better than
color screens for text - only books.
Now I put it in the
nook color and plugged it in via USB, but now its been stuck on the black
screen where it has the
Nook n logo and says «Contains Reader Mobile technology by Adobe Systems Incorporated» at the bottom of the
screen.

nook color and a month after rooting my
screen is unresponsive.

The second hook: The
nook marries a gray - scale E Ink
screen, which is standard with other digital readers such as the Sony Reader or the Kindle, with a separate
color touch
screen below the E Ink display (see photo to the right).
This is really exciting to me because I think it presents a clear way forward for the
color eink
screens and I would expect that the next generation of eink readers would all incorporate this type of
screen including the Kindle and the
nook.
