There are 11 expanding or proposed Northwest coast ports and refineries which could accept up to 800,000 barrels a day of oil — about 11 100 - car trains arriving daily.
The first vessel used was a ship out of Adramyttium, a port on the northwestcoast near Troas, which was sailing back from the south and stopped to pick up passengers at Caesarea.
