Dog Obedience Title, Canine Good Neighbour Certification, Canine Good Citizen, AKC Junior Courser Title, Canadian and AKC Rally
Novice Obedience Title, and her Canadian Rally Advanced Title.
Obedience and Rally Rankings are done in a similar way to the
Dog of the Year — except each class, from
Novice A and B to Utility or Excellent A and B, is ranked.

Breed or conformation classes — to teach handlers the fine points of showing their

Obedience classes include subnovice for
dogs with no qualifying scores for the companion
dog title,
novice, open, utility and graduate

A title given a
dog that successfully completes
Novice Obedience by obtaining three passing scores (170 out of a possible 200) at three AKC or CKC licensed
dog shows.

novice, take a
dog to
obedience classes where you both can learn.

Obedience and agility titles require that the
dog achieve three qualifying scores in the

I actually don't routinely use clickers in my beginner
obedience classes, for this reason — these behaviors are easy to train using praise and food rewards alone, and I find that adding in the clicker can be confusing for
novice dog owners who are already struggling to manage the leash and treat bag without dropping everything on the floor.
