We work in close partnership with Oklahoma City Animal Welfare (
OKC Animal Shelter) and other local shelters.
OKC Animal Welfare works with more than a hundred 501 (c)(3) nonprofit animal organizations to transfer animals from our care to their programs.
Field officers can rescue stray or loose animals that are injured and take them to
the OKC Animal Shelter or another veterinary clinic for immediate care.
OKC Animal Welfare only picks up wild animals that are injured or have bitten someone.

Did you know you can help local homeless animals by donating blankets, toys, treats and more to
OKC Animal Welfare?
Cats may be brought to
the OKC Animal Shelter at 2811 SE 29th Street between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., seven days a week, except major holidays.
OKC Animal Welfare reserves the right to deny adoptions in order to find the most appropriate home for each pet.
You can look for your lost pet or report a pet you found on
the OKC Animal Welfare website.
Consider giving someone
an OKC Animal Welfare pet adoption gift certificate instead of buying or adopting a pet for them.
OKC Animal Welfare partners with New Leash on Life to host monthly classes for pet owners to help with basic behavior challenges.
OKC Animal Welfare is a proud member of the Oklahoma Link Coalition.
A pet adoption gift certificate works the same way as any other
OKC Animal Shelter pet adoption, but the costs are already paid.
OKC Animal Welfare also picks up dead animals on the road, and animals on curbs and public property.
Pets adopted from
the OKC Animal Shelter will come with a tag verifying its rabies vaccination.
You can bring injured or orphaned wild animals to
the OKC Animal Shelter during normal business hours, and we will transfer the pet to WildCare Oklahoma.
We partner with local and national organizations to find forever homes for
OKC Animal Shelter pets.
The OKC Animal Shelter houses lost and found pets and makes a variety of efforts to reunite pets with their families.
Bring items from our Wish List to
the OKC Animal Shelter during our normal operating hours, and we'll give you a receipt for your tax - deductible donation.
OKC Animal Welfare serves more than 24,000 animals each year in the City of OKC, and we also provide animal sheltering services for the cities of Del City, Valley Brook and Tinker Air Force Base.
If you can't afford care at a local veterinarian, we will provide euthanasia services for your pet at
the OKC Animal Shelter for $ 25.
You can bring a dead animal to
the OKC Animal Shelter during normal business hours.
