Labour candidate's support was largely made up of younger voters, while Goldsmith retains a commanding lead with
older voting
groups which have historically been more likely to get to the ballot box.
Left Unity, The Green Party, and the remnants of the
old Campaign for
Labour Party Democracy
group threw their weight behind Corbyn.
It would be wise to incorporate the ideas of
groups such as Compass and London Citizens because, as pluralists, they are seeking to reconnect
Labour with an
older and deeper tradition of mutualism, reciprocity and association.
