I have been a
diver since I was 15 saving up my own money to buy the PADI
open water course in my local town back home
because it's all I ever wanted to do was dive and teach.
Because you can do one of these dives in confined
water (such as a swimming pool), many
divers start the Tec 40 courses in the winter months, ready to continue in
open water when spring arrives.
For example: when a
diver participates in a Discover Scuba Dive and decides to continue onto their Open Water Diver certification, they are able to «link» the two courses together, because the confined / open water skills performed in dive 1 of the Discover Scuba Diver are applicable towards Open W

Because this area is deeper it is not so suitable for
Open Water students, but is a great dive for Advanced
Open Water, and those leisure
divers who have an interest in wrecks.
