students where they discovered mimic octopus in Amed on our house - reef, as well as frogfishes, seahorses, snake eels and wide variety of nudibranchs.

students who want the full Advanced
Open Water Diver certification, only one more day of training is needed with the Deep and Underwater Navigation Dives.
Uncertified
divers (DSD,
Open Water students) are not allowed to use a camera during those training dives.
Upon successful completion of the course,
students will receive the PADI Junior
Open Water Diver certification for ages 12 - 14 or
Open Water Diver certification for ages 15 and up.

students become PADI

Open Water level certifications can expect to complete the process much faster.
I always recommend to my
Open Water students that if they really enjoy diving and want to develop their new sport that they should have a medium term goal to get up to Rescue
Diver, plus take a couple of specialty courses that interest or challenge them.
This course enables
students who have done the necessary theory and pool components to complete their
Open Water Diver qualifications.
Because this area is deeper it is not so suitable for
Open Water students, but is a great dive for Advanced
Open Water, and those leisure
divers who have an interest in wrecks.
For those guests who complete their 3 Day Advanced
Open Water certification $ 495 with Island
Divers Hawaii, the
student will complete 5 dives for the certification course on three 2 tank charters.
Once we've completed the dive, and based on just how well my new
students performed, I would of course recommend them to take the next step and become certified
open water scuba
divers so they too can enjoy the oceans of the world just like me!
A
student who is over 10 and under 15 can follow the normal syllabus and if they complete all the requirements of the course they will be qualified as a PADI Scuba
Diver or PADI Junior
Open Water Diver depending on the course they select.
However, as a
student diver attending one of our PADI courses in Phuket, you are insured against diving accidents that may happen during your
open water dives.
