Animal research at Bath The University of Bath has signed the Concordat on
Openness on Animal Research.
In January 2018, we signed the Concordat on
Openness on Animal Research making a commitment to improve communications about our use of animals in scientific research and medicines testing.
Next to the Wellcome Trust statement, LERU's members fully support the UK Concordat on
Openness on Animal Research.
In 2012, more than 40 biomedical organizations signed a Declaration on
Openness on Animal Research; the new concordat, which grew out of that declaration, was informed by consultations with the public and journalists and has been signed by 72 universities, government labs, research charities, drug companies, learned societies, trade associations, and research councils.
