There were no misunderstandings about this from sponsors or
opponents and the official fiscal note from the DOE made clear they were «assuming this
bill will have no impact on the Department's memorandum
of understanding» with the virtual school.
In my analysis, I go beyond these aggregate lobbying totals, by looking at specific companies and organizations across many sectors (i.e. financial, retail etc) that registered to lobby on the
bill and were on record as supporters or
opponents, providing a finer grained
understanding of lobbying expenditures.
