fruit is a great
breakfast option.
Some healthy
breakfasts suggestions are oatmeal, steel cut oats, a green smoothie with kale, spinach, bananas and other
fruit, or
organic eggs anyway you like them with whole grain toast.
Not only does this type of
breakfast provide basically no fat or protein, it is also high in sugar (
fruit) and refined carbs (bagels — even if
organic and whole grain) which will spike and then drop the blood sugar in these children who are already on a blood sugar see saw — the inevitable fast track to diabetes and other chronic illnesses.
As far as what we eat is a wide range of vegetables (not including white potatoes), a wide range of whole
fruits, 90 cc mix of no salt tree nuts, (that's my approximation of Dr. Weber's handful of nuts), wide variety of beans and legumes usually about 1/4 cup dry, whole grains example brown rice pasta, some
organic whole grain bread, usual
breakfast organic old fashioned rolled oats with soup spoon of dried wild blueberries, 1/2 a banana, 12 no salt almonds with skin, a little almond milk.

fruit — typically a slice of Papaya or 2 plantains (small banana) or a banana or grapefruit followed by a mix made of one

fruits (raisins, sultanas, currents, prunes, cranberry, goji etc.) a tablespoon of Mercola «Pro-Optimal Whey» for chocolate flavor, a teaspoon each of powdered Guarana.
I make sure to include a combination of
organic greens, low - glycemic
fruit, clean protein and healthy fats, so this way, my smoothies won't cause a spike in blood sugar levels the way most other quick
breakfast options do, like cereal and even oatmeal (especially if it's the quick oats you get on - the - go).
After class I have a superb
breakfast: fresh juices, eggs, mixed green salad, tropical
fruits, cream cheese, rice with ananas, musli and yogurt,
organic coffee and milk.
