As a recovering christian, 5 years clean and open minded, the truth definitely did set me free - it set me free of the horrors and fear that come with christianity; it allowed me to look at

side they are indistinguishable and yet they represent different
things: one represents Anna while the
other represents «Woman in a Blue Dress».
She should certainly not become one
sided, expecting everything from a gimmick, but she must not want to do everything with the same energy either; she must have the courage to concentrate her finite powers on a few points, even though this will mean giving up
other important
things.
Maybe we are all overthinking
things because as Christians on this
side of the world we don't have as many burdens laid on our cross as
other areas do.
But don't try and co-opt the
other side to support
things it obviously does not; you're just throwing good money after bad when trying to use science to defend your primitive beliefs.
We now quite often find ourselves on the same
side on an issue, and have been «both» attacked by
others for seeing
things the same way, yes...?
Confirmation from
others always helps us keep
things in a more true perspective, when
things are viewed from more than one
side.
I think one
thing missing today by people on all political
sides is the ability and willingness to sit down with each
other and have long conversations about deep issues.
For example, it could be argued that the «
things of the Spirit» that Paul is referring to are about the deeper truths and mysteries of the gospel that Paul has been referring to previously in 1 Corinthians 2:9 - 15 (See Vance, The
Other Side of Calvinism, 231).
One of the wonderful
things about the Episcopal Church and
other mainline traditions is their affirmation of reason and their willingness to see both
sides of an argument and be open to ambiguity.
