font - family: serif» (without adding the same line to
body tag CSS code) text is displayed as Caecilia even if you change to
other built - in Kindle
fonts.
If you're using InDesign to export to epub, it will embed
fonts... but you don't want to embed
fonts for the main
body content; that text needs to be flowable it will adapt to readers set preferences (otherwise they will complain that your book doesn't look like all the
other books on their kindle).
I will provide a sampling of pages for you to review the
fonts and text sizes suggested for the
body text, headings, and chapter pages, as well as any
other textual and visual elements in the book.
Conspicuous terms include the following: (A) a heading in capitals equal to or greater in size than the surrounding text, or in contrasting type,
font, or color to the surrounding text of the same or lesser size; and (B) language in the
body of a record or display in larger type than the surrounding text, or in contrasting type,
font, or color to the surrounding text of the same size, or set off from surrounding text of the same size by symbols or
other marks that call attention to the language.
If you are using a
font other than Times New Roman, 10 - point size for the
body and 12 - point size for your name is perfect.
Use a different
font (from the
body of the CV) here if you like, but abstain from using
other color ink or dividers.
You can use one
font for the heading and the
other for the
body for example.
