Situated on a private hilltop estate comprised of over 32 acres, Two Brothers is incredibly private and secure, at the center of some of the best surf that Nicaragua has to offer — surf Popoyo, Paranoias, Middles, Outer Reef, Beaches, Dairy Queens, Astillero, Chacocente, Peaks, Playgrounds, Colorados, Panga Drops, Santana, Rosadas, Auggies (and others just waiting to be named...)

The popularity of Punta Cana is also one of the reasons why it is NOT a very good; location to base yourself for a surf vacation in the DR.. The outer reefs block almost all waves, resulting in flat waters in the lagoons, which is ideal for the sunbathers and toddlers, and useless for surfers.

Some of the top surf spots in the region include Santa Teresa (a very popular surf spot for surfers of all levels with tons of beach breaks, Playa del Carmen, Mal Pais (offers long right and shorter left surfing over sand and a very consistent reef break sunset reef) and Manzanillo (excellent outer reef break for big swell).

For the more experienced surfer, there are several wave sites and of course access to the swells on the outer reef.

The surf lodge offers direct access to a private beach and a variety of perfect waves on the outer reef to suit abilities from improver to elite athletes, just 5 minutes by our boat.

Our 1.00 PM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was also showing some nice fun sized waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left in the 1 - 3ft class.

Today the 29th and my 7.00 AM surf check on the Outer reefs was showing wave height to have backed off into the 2 - 4ft range from Kuta Reef to Airport Left.

This morning the 12th and our 7.00 Am surf check on the Outer Reefs was still showing some solid waves between Kuta Reef and Airports.

This mornings mandatory 6.45 AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was still showing some nice sized waves in the 3 - 4ft class breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left.

Today the 23rd and with our morning surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban only showing 1ft waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left we decided to head down to Uluwatu.

This morning the 31st and I am happy to say that our 6.30 AM surf check on the Outer reefs of Tuban was showing a nice little spike in size with 2 - 3ft waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left.

Ok so yesterday the 28th after our surf check on the Outer Reefs the conditions were dictating that we head back to Canggu again, and we all know it's no use going against that «gut feeling».
