ovens heat at different
temps so be diligent about checking your bird at least 1/2 hour before you think it should be
done according to the directions.
And the best part I don't have to use the
oven, with
temps hitting the 115deg F outside, really want to heat up the inside.

What I don't get is why you can't put the French
oven into the cold
oven, and preheat both to
temp.
I know the instructions say not to heat it empty, what I
do is put the pot in the
oven when I turn it on and then when the
temp reaches 450, I put the bread dough in and return it to the
oven.
Don't heat for 30 minutes, just drop the dough into the pot once the
oven reaches
temp.
This is the pot I bought (to make this bread)-- I
did check my
oven temp to make sure it was correct since the pot is guaranteed up to 450 degrees and that's the same
temp needed for the bread.

did not catch that I was to turn the
temp down after baking the crust, so after the filling was in the pie baked at convection

Banana bread
does get quite golden on the outside and given that everyone's
oven temps vary, just keep an eye on your first batch.
If you'd like to use your bread baking stone or tiles; let rise a second time for 35 minutes then use same
oven setting but don't lower the

My cooking time was longer and I end edge up increasing the
oven temp to 350 which concerned as I didn't want to dry the meat out, but no issue there.

does it tell you to turn down the

Quite a few of my earlier recipes I
did not have a convection
oven so that's why those recipes
did not post an
oven temp for convection.
That may or may not be my

oven temp to 350 that seemed to be the only way to get it to cook.

Raise the
temp in the
oven about 25 degrees (you will need to adjust the actual baking time so that it doesn't burn)... this will help the bread set before it falls.
One thing I always
do with baked goods, though, is to place a standalone
oven thermometer right on the rack where the cookies will bake, and adjust the
oven controls until that thermometer reads the required
temp, regardless of what the
oven says.
I will have to adjust to my
oven temps and stones because they got a little more
