After watching «What the Health» and «Forks
Over Knives» I decided to switch to a
plant - based diet to see what sort of impact it would have on me.
As I was going through nutrition school and with the rise of vegan documentaries like Forks
Over Knives and Food Matters, I felt tremendous pressure to ditch eggs and dairy and eat strictly
plant - based.
Back to the film... What I love about Forks
Over Knives is, in addition to hearing from incredible doctors like Colin Campbell (author of The China Study) and Caldwell Esselstyn, is that the film tells inspiring stories of real people, from all walks of life, who've embraced a
plant - based diet and have thus reversed chronic health conditions like heart disease, cancer, and diabetes.
As a cardiologist and a strong advocate of
plant - based nutrition (it's the only diet ever shown to reverse existing heart artery blockages), I was more than a little excited when a friend called a few weeks ago and asked if I wanted to go to dinner with Brian Wendel, the executive producer of the smash hit Forks
Over Knives.
