I disagree.A wingback can be viewed as a defensive winger.Whether the Ox likes it or not he's been blessed with the qualities of a winger.To me that's his best position.He's only doing well as a wingback because of his attacking abilities.As I said earlier a wingback can be viewed as a sort of defensive winger.That's why CB's who are used as RB or LB can not play wingback.Wingback needs the player to be able to adapt himself like a winger while also being solid defensively.Ox has the attacking part but not the defensive part.With Bellerin we have the best of both worlds.He can attack, defend and also has the speed necessary to play wingback.I fear Ox being played at wingback will cost us when we play teams with tricky wingers.He should rather be challenging Sanchez or Ozil for their positions and not wingback.The guy hates to always have to defend which in truth he can't.

last season Wenger broke the bank to bring Ozil who is a world class but we have good players playing in the same position of Ozil... and we needed world class in other positions (ST, DM)..

We don't need both of them together in a match, this also gives room for Ozil to play in his preferred position which is best for the team.

Firstly, Ozil and Sanchez who have been bought for a high price need to play in their preferred position.

WE need a Costa type striker (Nothing wrong with Giroud) who can score by making his own goals apart from taking clear chances, Additional creativity to fight for OZIL (No disrespect but for 42M he has not proved to be a game changer in Big games — Better players even cost less e.g Costa, Hazard - HE MUST DO MORE) and Cazorla position.

Ozil — obviously this player has some superior skills but his posturing is hard to swallow when things aren't going well... love his link up play with Sanchez, so just imagine if Wenger gave a shit about the Striker or right forward positions... I feel a bit for him because he was liekwise given promises about our direction and they never materialized; that being said he needs to grow up sometimes and find a way to handle the pressure a little better... Given the 4 -1-4-1, and assuming Alexis is nailed on to start wide left (with Oxlade and Welbeck capable of filling in), we have 3 positions in the 4 behind the striker (Giroud) that are essentially up for grabs by Ozil, Santi, Ramsey, Wilshere, Ox, Welbeck and Rosicky (Arteta might be a candidate too if needed).

Having Ozil of all people play as a winger especially in front of either full back in Debuchy or Monreal is suicide because he will not track back whatsoever and in a formation like that which is designed to thrive on position you need a work horse on the wings for whichever full back you plan to have overloading the wing AS WELL AS a positionally astute defensive midfielder to come across and provide cover.

I think next game Ramsey needs to play in Cazorlas position, Cazorla was poor in few games, he should be rested, Walcott should start instead of him, maybe even Ozil switch for Wilshere, Wilshere played very well, many people critisize him, but only OX and him has that ability to go through players and drive our team forward.

I would prefer to sign him permanently in the summer rather than on loan in the winter.He is a great talent and could really shine in the epl with us.Yeah he is not the kind of superstar that ozil was when we signed him but that does not mean that he is not a top quality player.He could really be a good fit into our team.But I can guarantee you that signing draxler alone next summer will not bring us the epl title.The squad needs strengthening in at least 2 - 3 positions to win the title in what could actually be wenger's farewell season.Going back to draxler though, without a doubt he will only make the squad stronger but I just hope that he is one of the many players heading towards the emirates next season to help us win the title, regardless of where MESU - LEXIS are cum next august....

Ability to score: Ozil is a good finisher from the central attacking midfielder position, but that position needs more than the finishing and creating chances abilities.

i really do not think we needed a keeper, but getting cech will give us an ozil boost in the squad, Wos is a good keeper but has been caught in some awful positions and many remember him making the the mistake that lost us the opportunity to win our first cup in a while.

wow are we sterile up top, goals need to come from defense again, ozil & cech were great, mert once again taking the brunt of bad comments meanwhile a clean sheet and did nothing wrong, open goal that was saved was kos out of position and monreal caught up the pitch too high, giroud has great ball skills, issue is his position on the pitch, watched the match again focused on giroud, he tends to camp behind the defender from the ball, this only works when you have the quickness to break, he does nt, I have screen shots where ozil is 25 yrds farther up the pitch then giroud, thisis the problem, he is rendered useless unless ozil holds up, and thats not ozils strength, thus very few sog's from giroud on the run, when giroud gets lucky w space in front of the defender, he is lethal, but needs to get into that space,

My real concern is up front, for the wide positions and cf we have a total of 5 first team players, Welbeck, Giroud, Walcott, Ox and Sanchez also Cazorla Ramsey and Ozil will play a game or 2 out wide but I really think we need either a winger or a striker, they don't even need to be out of this world someone like Mertens, Callejon, Pedro, Immobile, Llorente, Austin, Pelle would do.

When we signed Ozil, there were way more positions that needed strengthening first: GK, CB, DM, RW, LW, CF. I'm also talking about the balance of the whole team, not between Santi and Ozil.

Arsenal has depth, but it isn't quality squad depth, Rosiscky, Cazorla, Ozil all play the same position and neither of them add a great deal more than the other, our midfield is stoked but the areas we actually need depth in are barren, we have no solid defensive midfielder with our usual reliance on a CAM moved back, as a result players like Ramsey and Wilshere who are box to box players end up creating more imbalance in an already unbalanced team.

The issue is that because of his energy coupled with his fantastic vision and usual calmness in front of goal, AW sees the need to fit him into the squad, with Ozil and Cazorla being irreplaceable right now, right wing is the only position where no - one has nailed down their place, where brings me to my point of writing.

Ozil is understandable sometimes because we don't have a top LW backup to Alexis, but we need to get one like Draxler who is a LW, so that Ozil can play in his best position CAM.
