Because
Ozil played for teams with more resources in his prime, whereas Wilshere has been with Arsenal for almost two decades.

As a
team we look very weak, Our midfield have no bite to them as we keep buying little fancy players but they are no good at tackling and getting stuck in, Santi
for me this year do nt want to
play maybe he is looking
for a move!!!! Jack in in and out of games he is so inconsistanat, Arteta past his best and needs to be replaced, Wenger needs to look at the time and improve it, Last year we got
Ozil this year we got Alexis but we are not using them to there full potental, Ransey is class but we can keep hoping

I disagree.A wingback can be viewed as a defensive winger.Whether the Ox likes it or not he's been blessed with the qualities of a winger. To me that's his best position. He's only doing well as a wingback because of his attacking abilities. As I said earlier a wingback can be viewed as a sort of defensive winger. That's why CB's who are used as RB or LB can not
play wingback.Wingback needs the player to be able to adapt himself like a winger while also being solid defensively.Ox has the attacking part but not the defensive part. With Bellerin we have the best of both worlds. He can attack, defend and also has the speed necessary to
play wingback.I fear Ox being
played at wingback will cost us when we
play teams with tricky wingers. He should rather be challenging Sanchez or
Ozil for their positions and not wingback. The guy hates to always have to defend which in truth he can't.

for the

Alexis came with a good spirit, seing
Ozil on board, thinking a
team would be built around them but year after year, it is no top class addition with a guessing game plan, weakness all over the pitch, players out of position, a
team scared to
play and lost as manager... Sanchez then started to ask more money, we said no as to
Ozil; waiting 6 month later to be on last year contract... The all management is nuts and Alexis or any players try until they get fed up,
Ozil plays to get fit
for wrld cup and his value back...
Present day
Ozil is often blamed
for the Arsenal loses and in truth at most times should be, his moods dictates the way arsenal
plays, he dictates the tempo of how arsenal
plays and once he begins to lose balls and things not going his way he tends to shrink away from the ball, he is not a player who is going to call
for the ball, get in the game by doing some defensive work or get the ball to get some fouls and move the
team upwards.
Frustraying how he says «

They both love arsenal, they up the tempo when we are losing and they have the nerves to score against any
team unlike
ozil Since we lost fabregas, no one
plays the ball over the top
for us frequently, then we lost rosicky that drives through the middle, then we lost super Wilshere that drives through the middle and
plays the ball over the top to injury and ref mismanagement, since then we've been
playing the safe pass to the wing to cross like other EPL
teams.
IF «strength of the squad» includes Alexis, Ox,
Ozil staying and IF they
play flat out all season and IF either renewing or not distracting the
team with their stay / go drama
for next year a and IF the bulk of the squad stays uninjured the bulk of the season and IF Wenger actually shows some strategic sense on a regular basis and IF a brilliant season and IF massive screw - ups by most or all of the other top 6ish
teams we could still pull it off.

Regardless of a 10 or a CM, it wouldn't be much a gamble to see if he will finally have an important role to
play for this
team since we can safe to say aren't going to win the League this season and in light that
Ozil will be sold in January.
It's difficult to blame
Ozil for the difficulties he's faced at Arsenal without looking at the big picture... like the fans, he too was lied to by Wenger... there is no doubt in my mind that he was told by Wenger that he was trying desperately to recreate our earlier success by acquiring players that fit the system he ran when Henry was in his prime... as we know this hasn't happened... in order
for Ozl to flourish he needs some speed up front, forwards that can make intelligent runs, a boss in the midfield to compensate
for his obvious defensive liabilities and defenders who can transition from defence to offence quickly and efficiently... much like he had in Real and with the German National squad... unfortunately he ended up on a squad that has a striker who
plays with his back to goal, very few intelligent runs into the box, minus Sanchez, no one to take pressure off him in the midfield, once Cazorla was injured, average defensive midfielders around him, which simply highlighted his lacking defensive qualities and defenders who lack the necessary cutting edge when it comes to transitional passing... instead of blaming
Ozil, which is simply too easy, especially considering his mopey disposition, we should be asking ownership and / or Wenger why they brought him in if they didn't intend on doing what was necessary to get the best from him... can you imagine
Ozil playing with the likes of Henry, Viera, Petit and Pires, it would be incredibly to watch and even more difficult to stop... so the only thing different between his experiences in Real and with the German
team versus his time at Arsenal are the players around him and we all know who is in charge of making those decisions, the Grinch who stole soccer
Ozil was very ineffective in that no10 role, he doesn't get in between the lines, hes a good passer but he doesn't go past players at will and hes very 1 footed, he doesn't score enough goals to be a no10 in a League or CL winning
team, i think we need either Cazorla or maybe Sanchez or even Chamberlain in that role in seasons to come,
Ozil will have to
play wide coming in the way Messi did
for Barca this season
«I've known Per
for a while, because we've
played together in Bremen,
for the national
team and here too,»
Ozil told Arsenal.com.
The reason he
played Giroud over Welbeck was to get him to score, not about the
team winning.As
for Ozil what a come down, but then the
team play with the same boring way and it reflects Wengers attitude to the game.
i rate him highly, he is a box to box player but can
play as a cover
for Ozil and can give a better balance to the
team than walcot when he
plays in the left wing which is not either his preferred place nor his natural one.
Today we saw our attacking force without alexis... and it is a shame...
for all of those talking nonsense about alexis being to selfish qnd that affecting our «fluency»... lacazzete is a cf so he needs people behind him... if we do nt buy q world class player to replace alexis we are done, we would not fight
for the tittle... today was a friendly, but the difference was huge... do nt lie urself about we
play with 2nd teqm players... we start with oyr first
team in the middle and front line, and we did nothing... hope that 280k a week to
ozil is a bad joke
Come the other year when Arsenal went the whole season without a defeat in the Premier League, Barcelona were attracted by Marc Overmas and Emmanue Petti, the two joined Barcelona, they
played few games, and sometime on the bench, as a result Emmanue Petti decided to go back to England and joined New - Castle and always regret leaving Arsenal, then the other year it was Alexander Hleb, he was the best dribller in Arsenal
team, he went again to Barcelona, he was never given some games, I think he only
played few games as a sub, and his carrier was destroyed by Barcelona, then come Henry, he again went to Barcelona, he
played some games but not like he used to do at Arsenal, he was not looking like a star player anymore, he decided to go to America, then there was Fabrigas, he joined Barcelona again, since he was one of their juniors, I think he
played for two seasons, and supporter used to booing him, he decided to come back to Arsenal, by then Arsenal had already resplaced him with
Ozil, and he joined Chelsea, then come Alexander Song, he pushed to go to Barcelona, he was always on the banch, and never been on first eleven, then he ended up regreting joing Barcelona, and wanted to go back to Arsenal, but normally Wenger do not take players who pushed themselves to be out of Arsenal, lastly there was Vermuleen, he went to Barcelona and ended up not
playing at all but when
playing for Arsenal they used to be star players.
Yeah, yeah many are going to say i am an
Ozil hater and probably they are right, with all the assists he has made, i still feel he has not contributed enough to a
team who look to him
for leadership and inspiration,
for too many matches i think we have been
playing one man short and i find that hard to swallow.
he feeds giroud fgs... he will soon be surpassed by the rest am sure... look at the number of his arsenal assists and compare them to his any other
team hez
played for and then make a conclusion... but one thing that we can agree on is that
ozil is not the problem... giroud is
I would not eqbt to see that match... sure walcott can take the place of alexis when the second has been more important
for us in 3 years than the first in 10 years... im not ok with alexis attitude yesterday but u do nt know if that was because he was sustituted... maybe he was not ok with his performance or he want mire goals, and thats ok
for me, that attituted u will never see in theo because he born here under wenger and he is ok with his wages that he do nt deserve and being 4th... im ok with alexis attitud in boros game, because a draw was not enought
for arsenal, and im ok with him when he ask
for the salary he does diserve...
for me he is one of the best in the epl, maybe the best, and without any question who makes things happen in our
team... he deserves 200 or 250k a week more than any in our
team, even moseur wenger...
ozil deserve 180k only because he is going up with his performances and have show more attitud than ever... ur famous theo deserve 80k or go and
play at west ham
Another interesting statistic in defence of
Ozil, would be that football is a
team sport, and that it's sometimes hard
for certain individuals to perform at their normal level when you're
playing in a weakened
team due to injuries or because your
team is a generally poor side.
Say we stumbled our way to the Champions League final and were lined up against Madrid, Barca or Bayern; Cech, Sanchez, Xhaka,
Ozil, Bellerin and Koscielny on our
team sheet would give me full confidence as they could easily be
playing for any one of the three, Lukaku and Higuain will be decent too but not
for 75 million pounds though.
Once
Ozil is in the
team, let him
play in the middle
for a run of games with Sanchez and Wlacott at the wings.
Ozil plays the number 10 role which must not only contribute assists, but also goals and that is where i have a serious problem with Ozil, a number 10 must be a serious goal threat and ozil is not, creating goals or chances for team mates is great but what would be greater is to get the goal average total in the t

For those who do nt watch Schneiderlin
play, do it when southampton
play next and you will see half Arteta in terms of ball control and passing, and half Coquelin in terms of tackling... thats some combination if you ask me... i must admit though, nobody in this league can intercept like Le Coq... am still yet to decode how he anticipates a pass before it happens and if you were to ask David Silva, he would still be figuring it out... That said, Schneiderlin would be a massive improvement on our
team... to think about a midfield trio of
Ozil, Schneiderlin and Le Coq would excite any manager with ambition.
if Santi,
Ozil, Podolski, Campbell all decide to leave in January i won't be surprised... and you can't
play the exact same formation
for every single match and not change your tactics, not every
team are the same.
In the midfield, (including RWB & LWB) we have a whole bunch of tweeners... none offer the full package, none make sense in our manager's current favourite formation, except
for Sead on the left and Ox on the right, and all of them have never shown any consistency
for more than a heartbeat... Sead, who I'm including in this category because of our present formation, looks like a positive addition, minus his occasional brain farts, but I would rather see what he could do in a back 4 before making my mind up... Ox, who has never
played better, which isn't saying much considering his largely underwhelming
play in previous seasons, seems to have found a home in this new formation; unfortunately, can we really expect this oft - injured player to handle the taxing duties that come with said position over the long haul, not to mention, it looks like he has no intention of staying... Ramsey has relied on the empathy that stems from his gruesome injury years ago and the excitement that was generated a few years back when he finally seemed to put in altogether, but on the whole he has been a big disappointment (neither he nor the Ox have scored enough to warrant a regular spot)... Wiltshire should be put on a weekly contract then
played until he suffers his first injury, if and when that occurs he should be shipped - out and no one should very be allowed to say his name on club grounds ever again... Elnehy & Coq are average players who couldn't make any of the top 7
teams currently in the EPL... both have showed some great energy on the pitch, but neither are top quality and no good
team can afford to have that many average players on their bench
playing the same position, especially with Coq's injury history / discipline concerns and Elheny's headless chicken tendencies... as
for Xhaka, his tenure here so far has been incredibly underwhelming... we know he has some skills to provide the long ball but his defensive work is piss poor and he gives the ball away too cheaply and far too often... finally, the enigma himself,
Ozil, so much skill with his left foot but his presence has been more frustrating than uplifting... in many respects his failure has been directly related to the failure of this club to provide him with the necessary players up front, minus Sanchez of course, and unless something drastic happens very soon his legacy will be largely a negative one (much like Wenger's)
Yeah
Ozil will appreciate Giroud
for his missed chances and Wenger will continue
playing mind games on fans instead of doing it on rival
teams.
It's all very well
Ozil playing well and scoring against
teams like Ludogrets but he hasn't done it in the league
for a long time and was just anonymous in the last 2 games when we want him to dominate games.
the only way arsenal can win the league with this
team is
for all the players on the other
teams drop dead i said if before even if the so call big
team is not there some other
team will win the league every day you here me say sell
ozil Wolcott Chamberlain ramsey jack Wilshire make sanchez
play in the number ten position by lw rw center forward.
Ozil's situation means that in less then a year Ramsey could be
playing in the role he does
for his national
team.
There is every reason to panic especially when AW starts to mess around with the
team in order to accomodate Wilshere, yet Arsenal lost the league to Chelsea
for the same reason.Fans begged Wenger to let
Ozil play no 10 but Wenger closed his ears. The
team lost the league in the first few days when Wenger messed up
team selection.
this is what can really make our season when you know sanchez will leave
for free next season why pay his wages sell him to psg and build a
team which can stay here
for years give psg sanchez and 30 million and get draxler verati krychowiak even auriar if a deal falls through when you want to win league you sould have a big squad with good players on bench look at city manu and chelsea they all have good players we need these 4 players there is no player other then
ozil who can create a goal
for stricker or
play a killer pass niether bellerin or oxlade can not
play a good threatning ball when striker is in the box if we get them
Too many changes to the
team for Mkhit, he's
played with Auba and he knows
Ozil slightly and he seems to understand Ramsey type movement (maybe from Drtmund.
The work of a DM is quite clear cut... Jam the opposition radar, don't let them find their range, constitute a nuisance to the opposition, if and when you win the ball, give it to a better ball
playing / retaining
team - mate, never complicate issues... 16 year old Reece Oxford did that superbly against
Ozil especially, Le Coq
for the most part has also done it.
for Ozil, well he will be disappointing to see, if a
team park's a bus, Sanchez need rest, even if he doesn't wants to be rested, Cazola
playing out of position, thus not able to produce his best.......
I hope he brings Bellerin and Gibbs back if they are fit.People seem to forget how consistent Gibbs has been over the past years.Injuries have halted his abilities a lot. When he was young i thought he was gonna be world class.Monreal inform ai nt better than Gibbs inform.Debuchy has not won the battle yet to start at right back hence he should come back.Gabriel should have started over Per from day one but
for language barrier. Also Ramsey Cazorla and
Ozil should not be
playing in the same
team.
I'm just holding thumbs we can go through a whole season with
Ozil playing behind those three without any injuries... because we should be scoring goals
for fun against any
team if we can keep that formation!
the cheese eating surrender monkey has screwed up again we all know that now so we have to hope to get our real quality players performing to full potential that is
ozil sanchez wishere carzola... i am not sure there is a combo with all four and at this moment wilshere and sanchez are the only ones looking pretty decent and as wellbeck needs to be integrated those positions are settled... i am a big
ozil fan and really believe wenger is failing to get best out of him by
playing him out of position so cant we
play some kind of diamond with him at the top feeding to a front line of sanchez and wellbeck...
for me neither flamini nor arteta add anything to the
team so i think
playing to attacking strengths is the only option right now... but its really a ridiculous state of affairs we have been left in... throwing caution to the wind i would go
for
There were strong performances throughout the Arsenal
team as we
played host to a very strong and defensively organised Chelsea side yesterday, with players like Coquelin, Ramsey and Cazorla as well as all four defenders having a shout
for the Man of the Match award but I am giving it to Mesut
Ozil who linked our
play and was all over the pitch and never stopped until the end.
