UFC has a longstanding affinity with videogames dating as far back as 2000 when Ultimate Fighting Championship released on Dreamcast before being
ported to PS1 which was the beginning of a series published by Crave Entertainment that continued onto
PS2, while THQ published the UFC Undisputed series on PS3 before EA Sports obtained the rights to UFC videogames in which their first
game was released on PS4 in June 2014 before a sequel released in March 2016.
One issue with GGXX ^ C + (no, that title does not get less ludicrous with repetition) was that it was clearly a
PS2 game, and this poses a few problems when being
ported to the PS3's higher graphical settings.
As for Sega Rally 2006 itself, handily reviewed by Eurogamer, it appears to be a vaguely OK
PS2 racing
game with a wonderful
port of the original Sega Rally attached, the real news for fans out there.
The first entry in the series, released in 2000, was an action role - playing
game which garnered immense praise and commercial success on the PC (and was eventually
ported to the
PS2).
The most recent «new»
game to start appearing on those lists is Resident Evil 4, a
game that Capcom
ported from the GameCube to the
PS2 and then the Wii since it had done so well.
The original, which can only be described as Monopoly meets Magic: The Gathering as players take turns to lay down monster cards on a looping board of tiles, has since been
ported to the PlayStation, Nintendo DS, PSP and PS3 in Japan and the
PS2 in the US, but Revolt marks its first appearance in Europe, giving publisher NIS America the difficult task of trying to distil this complex card
game to a new, unsuspecting audience.
That aside the
game is basically a standard
port of the earlier released
PS2 version, which isn't a bad thing of course.
Admittedly it's not as bad as the
PS2 Valken
port (that was terrible) but for a modern 2D
game on PS4 this looks decidedly amateurish.
While Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth was a competent PSP
port, both
PS2 - based prequel Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria and Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume for the Nintendo DS struggled to outshine the inaugural
game.
Square Enix has taken to remastering many of its older Dragon Quest
games for Nintendo's handhelds over the past few years, and rumor has it that, with the 3DS being able to handle PS1 and
PS2 ports, Dragon Warrior VII will be the next one in line.

I remember playing (never beating) the original Last Raven, and I mentioned to a friend that none of the
PS2 to PSP
port AC
games made any sense to me because, having grown up with the original non-analog PS1
games, I found a significant lack of buttons on a PSP to even emulate those
games.
At this stage of the life cycle we should be seeing
games that really take advantage of the power of these systems instead of
games that look like they were

While the graphics look good for a

game has many flat textures and basic models, especially for the Vita, but as a
port of a

games were
ported to the
PS2 a year after their release.
It's kind of amazing that the
port is so broken, considering both the
PS2 and PSP versions of the same
game have been emulated perfectly for quite some time, and in fact run and look better than the version released on Steam.
