Rumors have been swirling around that they will also be bringing in official VR support (and GOD to I hope they do it for
PSVR as well).
Since release, 83,312 people have used Resident Evil 7 with
PSVR as of the time of this writing, which is 9.54 % of all users as of that time.
The game will also launch on Xbox One and PC and if Sony had any sense, they would be asking Exor to make it for
PSVR as well.
It's great to see some indie action coming to
PSVR as Mike Bithell is currently working on an expansion pack to Volume.
Cold Iron boldly steps onto
PSVR as the first VR puzzle shooter and it mostly succeeds despite a few bumps.
I was bought
PSVR as a Christmas gift off the wife.
Oasis Games isn't leaving the latest tech behind either, they are supporting
the PSVR as well with Light Tracer.

As a result, the visuals for the game look pretty impressive for
PSVR most of the time, though they can look a little blurry when you get up close to the ships and asteroids in space.
From the perspective of immersion, you are really just fixed on a single point, and it doesn't appear that
PSVR is really necessary
as there's no need to look anywhere but straight ahead.
Pixel Gear is definitely one of the most simplistic games released for
PSVR so far,
as it utilizes a very easy to learn arcade approach to its gameplay.
UPDATE: The PS Blog has confirmed that Rime and Knack are joining PlayStation Plus, and StarBlood Arena will remain
as the bonus
PSVR title.
In
PSVR, players see the world in first - person through the eyes of Raz, plus
as other players via the power of Clairvoyance.
However, those with the headset eager to experience the title in virtual reality will have to wait,
as Project CARS 2 will not support
PSVR.
With the
PSVR still in its first year of release, Amuletor enters a relatively sparse field of competition and stands out
as one of the only
PSVR entries in the tower defense genre.
The game is being developed by London Studio who were behind The Getaway and London Heists from
PSVR Worlds and sees you take on the role of an ex-special forces member
as he seeks revenge on mobsters from the London underworld.
Slightly Mad Studios is being coy on
PSVR support for PCARS2 but
as it stands there are no promises for support.
Owners of the original game and a
PSVR can download the experience
as a DLC for $ 12.99.
Apex Construct is an action - adventure title developed exclusively for the
PSVR by Fast Travel Games, a team which boasts former DICE employees amongst its ranks; dropping the player into a desolate world presided over by a sadistic omnipresent A.I known only
as Mothr, Apex Construct pits you against mechanical monstrosities that can only be brought down through use of what is probably the most satisfying and accurate representation of a bow and arrow in VR gaming to date.

End Space is a
PSVR - only space shooter from Canadian VR specialists, Orange Bridge, and it has plenty in common with other space - based titles for the headset such
as Space Rift and the Eve games.
For
PSVR, several titles such
as SUPERHOT VR and Job Simulator were the top - selling titles for the month, while the acclaimed Moss squeaked its way into the top 10 charts for both the US and Europe.
One of the scrapped concepts for FFXV DLC was a
PSVR FPS title and, although the development team eventually settled upon the fishing angle (pun totally intended) and elected to release the game
as a stand - alone experience rather than additional base game content, certain elements from the FPS prototype still managed to find their way into the core gameplay loop here in Monster of the Deep.
PSVR games seemed to be targeted in particular, with some titles dropping to
as low
as $ 9.99, but there are plenty of big name PS4 exclusives in the list, including Horizon Zero Dawn, Knack II, and The Last Guardian.
By far the largest
PSVR title to date and packed with enough content to keep players coming back for months, experiencing Skyrim
as an actual inhabitant of the world is an experience like no other and truly makes you feel like an epic adventurer, at least until you take a coffee table to the knee.
Sony has invested heavily on Virtual Reality technology and it doesn't seem likely that they will abandon their Virtual Reality vision, so they will also most likely release a new more powerful VR headset, perhaps not straight away, so
as to not alienate the consumers that bought the first
PSVR.
Whatever the PlayStation Meeting has in terms of the
PSVR though it won't have
as much impact on the consumer
as building momentum and bigger public facing events like Gamescom.
This way they can release a better
PSVR kit
as well, one that can take advantage of the Pro model when its hooked up with one.
I expect it'll be replaced by a PS camera soon,
as PSVR makes that one infinitely more useful.
This could be neat depending on if it has TV out and how powerful it is... Perhaps it will allow streaming to PS4 and vice versa and have BC with PSP and Vita... Would be great if they release this in like 2 years when they are able to put a PS4 inside and it can run PS4 games... Heck if they add the same OLED screen in there
as in the
PSVR they could make a portable
PSVR with it....
Although
PSVR remains the only listed platform, we've not seen any mention of the word «exclusive», so we can probably expect it to hit rival VR platforms
as well.
As an added bonus for PlayStation VR owners, Sony is celebrating the 1 year launch of
PSVR and giving out an additional free game in Until Dawn: Rush of Blood.

PSVR and his time with The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for VR.
After a successful pitch, Frame Interactive was founded and the game was signed
as a Sony exclusive for
PSVR.
The 3 different environments look the same and although you can defend it
as an art style choice, it's way below the quality you would expect from
PSVR.

Richard Lico, the lead animator for Moss, has revealed on Twitter that he is teaching his little mouse friend ASL
as part of the upcoming
PSVR game Moss.
We first heard about it back in February, and now
as planned, the Icelandic studio known best for MMO EVE Online has formally launched the game on
PSVR for $ 29.99
as of today.
As announced on the official PlayStation blog,
PSVR will be seeing a very reasonable price drop on all its bundles.

As if
PSVR wasn't immersive enough already, the sounds add to the immersion and make for a much more enjoyable experience.
If you're a lover of Skyrim such
as myself then honestly the blur isn't much of a problem but if you're looking to play Skyrim for the first time ever, I don't recommend it in
PSVR unfortunately.
Making it an extra game rather than one of the main titles makes sense here,
as the majority of PlayStation 4 owners don't yet have a
PSVR.
The rumour that seems to be coming from development circles is that Sony is demanding that games clock in at least 60 fps to pass certification for
PSVR, and it's a welcome requirement if true,
as I've used games in the Vive that dipped well below 60 and caused me some physical discomfort.
Luckily Skyrim's original OST composed by Jeremy Soule makes its way back into Skyrim PS4 / Xbox One and
PSVR editions and boy, it's just
as beautiful
as I always remembered it to be.
As more and more games make the leap to VR, we've seen many that push the boundaries of the medium, and
PSVR has followed along, with only minor tweaks needed to maintain a similar level of quality.
The
PSVR initial announcement (
as project Morpheus at the time) was done during GDC 2014, and was still very vague on any details.
Ever since the code name «Morpheus» was spoken, we have been imagining a new world to get lost in, and we were surprised that
PSVR didn't launch
as a separate console.
I've loved the experiences I've had with VR the last 5 months, but if I had known they were releasing an updated version of the hardware and a Skyrim bundle, I probably would have waited... No regrets here but excited for those of you who get this
as your first
PSVR experience!
