Stepping into the Bandai Namco booth at E3 in Los Angeles, I got a hands - on with Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown's
PSVR mode.
Bandai Namco did tell them that more content could be added to
the PSVR mode if it proves to be popular, but they weren't sure if there'd be more to the mode in the finished retail build compared to what Digital Foundry played.
The co-driver will use the «social screen» (your TV output when in
PSVR mode) to send calls to the other player using a controller.
With that being the case, there was some understandable skepticism when it was revealed that GT Sport would also have
a PSVR mode.
I am also very interested in
the psvr mode and feel of the game.
Digital Foundry recently had a chance to check out Tekken 7
PSVR mode and also carry a technical analysis of the game running on the regular PS4.

Instead of just playing the racer on a 2D screen we strap on the
PSVR headset and play through the device's cinema
mode which is the next best thing to virtual reality.
There is also a co-op
mode available which lets you play with 1 other player, however none of my friends who owned
PSVR owned this game, so I was unable to try this
mode out.
The only thing we got was Rigs (a rocket league clone with no story
mode), and they are banking on the VR
mode of resident evil7 to sell some device (That's the only reason I purchased my
PSVR and already paid the game instead of the 45 $ version on Steam).

When connected, the third - party devices show up in
PSVR's cinematic
mode, a large 2D screen inside the virtual reality space.
Unlike many of the other
PSVR launch titles that felt a little too bare bones, RIGS: Mechanized Combat League features one of the most robust lineups of content at your disposal across both single player and multiplayer game
modes, which both revolve around completing a season of games against a variety of different teams.
This much like the lack of offline features feels like a half step by the developers especially when their initial goal was to make
PSVR compatible across all
modes including campaign.
However, even the
PSVR compatibility is coming under question now as Gran Turismo's top man Kazunori Yamauchi has said to VideoGamer that GT Sport will not be fully playable in virtual reality and will instead have a specific «VR Tour»
mode.
Exclusive features are being developed for ROM
PSVR — including new weapons, enemies, levels, and gameplay
modes.
It also has a VR
mode included for those who own a
PSVR.

Also, it does appear this game was once supposed to have a Single player
mode, back when it was known as just «Code51»: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=887487157 – I imagine that the PC version, if it's still coming, will be this version with the Single Player and
PSVR got the «Mecha Arena» version instead.
Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics will bring a bundle of new content which includes an online co-op Endurance
mode,
PSVR support for the «Blood Ties» single - player story chapter exploring Croft Manor, and even zombie combat with «Lara's Nightmare.»
4.50 promises to add external hard drive support, the PS4 Pro Boost
mode, custom wallpapers from captured screenshots, 3D Blu - Ray watching in
PSVR and much more.
The game will also include co-op for the game's endurance
mode and
PSVR support as well as an Extreme Survivor difficulty...
The
PSVR release also features the new unique PlayStation control
mode using the DualShock4 as a steering wheel and additional customisation prop packs are available via DLC.
