For this layout,
I painted the chipboard letters brown for a fun title which coordinates nicely with the colors in the patterned paper.
After having created such distinctly different looks on the cone shaped Christmas trees (fur, beads and scrapbook paper), I felt challenged to ensure that each of
the painted chipboard trees had a very unique finish.
Then I spray
painted some chipboard scrapbooking letters with oil rubbed bronze spray paint and hot glued it all together.
In a perfect world, these should keep us on track Behind the trays, I used a simple white 5 × 7 picture frame and some of my scrapbooking stash (
painted chipboard arrows, chipboard letters, washi tape and a cute little tag from Pink Paislee that I wrote «hey mom...» on) to create a reminder of what goes where!

During a period when Rockburne was completing a body of process - based works made from
chipboard stained with crude oil, her own assistant was Carroll Dunham, whose early
paintings employed different types of veneer as support that, in their material investigations, harken back to this period.
I had already learned that the
chipboard absorbed quite a bit of
paint and required several coats to cover, so I started by giving the entire tree a two coats of solid white acrylic.
I made them using
chipboard and chalkboard spray
paint.
I used chalkboard spray
paint on
chipboard to make chalkboard labels for the totes.
