Our current
research in this area focuses on understanding the
paleoenvironmental implications of a radical change in sedimentary iron biogeochemistry in the mid-Atlantic U.S. during the Paleocene - Eocene Thermal Maximum (PETM), a severe global warming event that occurred 55 million years ago.
