As much as some people despise seeing them, I actually really love that the
Koopalings seem to be getting personalities and social dynamics (between this game and
Paper Jam), something we only ever had in comics and cartoons before now.

Deluxe, as well as the Virtual Console page of the game all say that Koopas used black magic in order to turn inhabitants of the Mushroom Kingdom into stones, plants and bricks, while the real fact is that only
Koopalings did this in Super Mario Bros. 3 and Bowser did it in
Paper Mario and in Mario Party 8
Whereas each of the
Koopaling fights have an amazing tune that's among the best in
Paper Mario history.
