awards redemption chart, making this airline and its co-branded credit card a great investment.

award chart redemptions for Avianca LifeMiles on Star Alliance
partners.
With a bit of searching and knowledge of
partner award charts, it is common to achieve
redemption values of 3 - 4 cents per point.

partner airlines, has the same rate of 40,000 miles for some routes, but it can go up to 55,000 miles or more to certain destinations.
The airline has also created a whole new

chart for all
awards, whether on United itself or otherwise).
The LifeMiles
award chart offers some fair Star Alliance
partner redemptions, competitive with what United MileagePlus offers.

Aside from the fact that this is a great airline with an excellent

I fear all the legacies will be going to a revenue - based system in the coming years and MileagePlus will one day add fuel surcharges to
redemptions, but right now United's
award charts, Star Alliance
partners, generous routing rules, lack of fuel surcharges, and ability to quickly and easily book more
award travel online makes it a program much better than even AAdvantage in terms of
award redemption.
If one of these
partner airlines has an
award chart that had a more attractive domestic US
redemption, you could use miles from say, Vietnam Airlines to fly on Delta.
There are some incredibly high value
partner redemptions using Etihad miles, mainly flying American Airlines for the same amount of miles that it used to cost on American Airlines» pre-devaluation
award chart.
