In a small bowl, mix
peanut butter and
coconut oil and
place in microwave for 30 seconds, or until melted.
To make the
peanut butter / chocolate layer:
place the pitted dates,
coconut oil and the
peanut butter into the food processor.
If your
coconut peanut butter is solid, just
place the jar in a bowl filled with hot water so it will become a runny consistency.
In a large bowl,
place the oats, rice cereal,
coconut flakes, almonds, powdered
peanut butter, protein powder, and salt, and mix gently to combine well.
Place the
peanut butter, curry paste,
coconut milk, sesame oil, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, Sriracha and lime juice in a bowl and whisk until well blended.
Coconut butter is more of a condiment, spread, or baking ingredient that is used in
place of almond
butter or
peanut butter.
I decided to combine the two, trading the olive oil in Heidi's recipe for
coconut oil, using milder almond
butter in
place of the
peanut, and keeping the flours gluten - free.
You could also use another nut
butter for the
peanut butter if you're allergic to
peanuts or you can use more nut
butter, cocoa
butter, or even raw cacao
butter in
place of the
coconut butter I used.
You can use milk, almond milk, or
coconut milk in
place of the water; however, I think this is deliciously creamy as is on account of the
peanut butter.
Of course, some of them have been used lots of lots of time, like
peanut butter, strawberries, mint to name just a few, but
coconut,
coconut holds a dear
place in my heart.
I made this with
coconut flour in
place of the almond flour, along with
peanut butter.
