Plain oatmeal does not contain anything that will cause toxicity, so there is no reason to panic if your kids tried to serve the family pet a bit of porridge, but it really is not a suitable food for their little bodies.

Part of the reason I never liked these cookies was because I didn't start to like
oatmeal until I was older, and I still don't like raisins in anything (although I will eat them
plain).

do somehow think that even
plain oatmeal (rolled oats) and raisins or even the occasional sweet baked sweet potato sometimes tastes really, really sweet to me after not having regular sugar.
While I like them riper than I
did in my childhood days, there's a point where they are just to sweet for eating
plain & are perfect for adding to
oatmeal or topping a piece of toast with almond or peanut butter.
Then I wasn't sure what to
do with it but started putting a small scoop over
plain oatmeal with some chopped almonds and a bit of fresh milk.

After eating
plain old
oatmeal every day for weeks on end, one
does tend to get a little sick and tired of it.
I
do two cups of coffee with a little bit of raw sugar and soy creamer, and then I
do a bowl of
plain oatmeal with walnuts and blueberries.
I never
did try them with my first because I had luck with fenugreek and
plain oatmeal, but I'll be saving this for when my little girl comes.
Other little things you can
do is
oatmeal or
plain oatmeal you can put in a blender and stick it on.
1 pear 8 - 9 blueberries 1 kiwi 1 tablespoon
plain wholemilk yogurt
oatmeal cereal (enough to absorb liquid) add 1/2 banana (if your baby doesn't like acidic fruits, or somewhat sour tastes)
Another breakfast favorite is 1/2 cup of
plain Greek yogurt and a serving of my Simple Homemade Granola, topped with a few blueberries and raspberries, or
plain oatmeal with a couple of scrambled egg whites on top, 1 teaspoon of pure maple syrup, and a pinch of sea salt — don't knock it» till you try it!
Many people seem to falsely believe that they'll never be able to get lean if they don't eat what is thought to be typical bodybuilder fare — dry
plain chicken breasts,
plain broccoli, tuna fish,
oatmeal, etc..
And the simple reality is this: it absolutely
does not matter how «healthy» your diet is or whether you're eating nothing but
plain chicken breast,
oatmeal and broccoli all day long... if the total number of calories you consume is equal to or greater than the total number of calories that you burn, you are NOT going to lose an ounce of fat, period.
Because I
do this everyday, will maintaining my current carbohydrate level be okay (I eat cereal or
oatmeal with breakfast, sometimes whole grain bread or a whole wheat wrap with lunch, and a
plain potato / sweet potato with dinner)?

oatmeal has more carbs than a plantain?
