sites sprang up across the Iranian
plateau,
central Asia, and the Arabian Peninsula.
Besides
central Appalachia, the report identified
sites in the Chesapeake Bay lowland, the high Allegheny
plateau, lower New England, northern Appalachia and the north Atlantic Coast.
