The server software on your PC automatically transcodes your videos so that they'll just plain work on
the Plex app on other devices, no mussing or fussing with file formats required.
It's more of a hassle to set up, and doesn't include a grid - based channel guide, but its recording options are more granular and it can stream live and recorded TV to
the Plex app on other devices.
Theoretically, Nvidia Shield owners could set up their boxes as Plex servers, and access stored recordings through
