Pokemon Yellow Version took the formula of Pokemon Red and Blue but added new animations, story content, and gameplay features.
It seems like they're somehow related to the classic
Pokemon Yellow Version, although it's not clear if it's a straight remake, or if there's more going on.

Many fan wishes have been fulfilled as Nintendo announce the original Red, Blue and
Yellow Pokemon versions will be heading to the 3DS.
POKEMON YELLOW Special Pickachu Edition features a number of elements from the animated series not seen in other
versions, so this one is a must - have for
POKEMON fans.
While we tended to pick our own teams to go head - to - head, there was also the option of importing your
Pokemon from the Red, Blue, or
Yellow version of the core games.
So it could be that your starter
Pokemon would be a Pikachu or an Eevee (the latter of which was the starter of your rival in
Pokemon Yellow) depending on which
version of the game you get.
According to these leaks, the two
versions will be called
Pokemon: Lets Go and will be remakes of
Pokemon Yellow.
