practices and media, including Ursula von Rydingsvard, Uta Barth, Candice Breitz, Chakaia Booker and Regina Silveira, among others.
These eight week residencies emphasize cross-cultural exchange and authentic dialogue and conversation surrounding

by Daniela Ferrari, art historian and curator at the Museum of Modern and
Contemporary Art of Trento and Rovereto (MART), Italy, the exhibition will explore the use of text and the written word in the
practice of major Post-War Italian
artists including, Vincenzo Agnetti (1926 - 1981), Alighiero Boetti (1940 - 1994), Dadamaino (1930 - 2004), Lucio Fontana (1899 - 1968), Emilio Isgrò (b. 1937), Piero Manzoni (1933 - 1963), Mimmo Rotella (1918 - 2006), Salvo (1947 - 2015) and Mario Schifano (1934 - 1998), alongside key
international artists including Cy Twombly (1928 - 2011), Joseph Kosuth (b. 1945), Jannis Kounellis (1936 - 2017), Mel Bochner (b. 1940), John Baldessari (b. 1931) and Tracey Emin (b. 1963).

Contemporary Curatorial
Practice will examine the pragmatics of organizing exhibitions, while addressing the specificities of curating in the African context.
In the last years, the main focuses of the collection have been: Significant works
by international contemporary artists; Original works, documentation and ephemera of conceptual
practices from the 1960s to the 1980s; relevant Catalogues,
Artist Books, Magazines, LPs, Cassettes and Monographs that help contextualize the works that compose the collection.
Artists like these 10 members of The Artsy Vanguard — a new, annual list of the 50 most influential talents shaping the future of
contemporary art
practice — are finally getting their due, with museum retrospectives, representation
by major
international galleries, and surging collector interest.
The exhibition includes many of the wide range of media represented within the IMMA Collection; painting, sculpture, drawings and prints, photography, film, video, installation and performance and include works
by both Irish and
international artists, giving you a sense of the huge variety of artistic
practice in
contemporary art.
