i have become far more discerning with the
books i read, time is too
precious to slog through a badly plotted story, or one that has
so many printing, syntax or repetitive errors.
Books are
so precious goods made of ideas and poetry, imagination and knowledge, that we have to invest time to build them the more sustainable ecosystem they deserve.
I want to be able to snag a
book whenever / wherever, and I'm out of shelf space
so unless it is a
book that I desperately want a hardcover / TPB / MMPB of (mostly these
books that get my
precious shelf space are either by authors I know, authors whose work I absolutely love, or a combination of the above), I'm going to get it on my Kindle.
Since I know
so many of our author friends are short on time, when you grab those
precious 30 minutes for
book promotion, you want the biggest bang for your buck, right?
So Alan, do you mean to say that those
precious reviews in the literary journals and in Publishers Weekly, etc. don't sell
