to themselves or others from having

to use violent media as a way
to deflect criticism of
gun control and

On the Senate floor, Sen. Marco Rubio, R - Fla., said he sympathizes with people who want action but claimed that recent proposals restricting
access to guns would not have
prevented the tragedy.
